Mid Week

The site as you may have noticed is having some issues so I'm planning a major overhaul in the next week or so. I've posted the midweek workout today check here http://runningnw.com/index.php/training/training-plans/mid-week-workout, many of you still haven't updated the roster yet, if you could please do that it would be appreciated. Just add your new event and I'll remove your old one. you can do that here http://runningnw.com/index.php/community/roster-input for those that haven't updated I've posted a workout anyway.

I know some of you have told me your next big race but after awhile in my head it gets jumbled up so posting your next event there helps me out.

Some of you are gearing up for some shorter races so for those we'll do a different workout than what I might have posted tonight. Plan on 12x400 at 5K race pace with a 200 jog recovery, keep it moving.

One thing I should mention about running shorter race is that it is helpful to run a couple of them before you pick a big one to run. They just take a little getting used after have trained for a marathon. the pace is quicker and obviously the distance is shorter. You also have to go out a little harder, if you don't the race is over before you know it. You more or less have to be more aware of what your doing, you not running for 4 hours you running for 20-30 minutes so if you're not careful and your trying to run a fast time it's over before you know it. These are great for you however and I encourage you to part take if nothing else to provide a little variety.

Ok so here's some good news for those that were a fan of that half that took place on Labor day (formally the Super Jock n Jill half), well it will be back after all. I got word today that news about it is pending and I should receive that at any time for posting. I'll share it when I get it.

Good Luck to those running in CDA this weekend. Hope you have great weather.
