Reso Run Volunteers still needed
I mentioned last week that I was looking for volunteers for this weekend's resolution run.I still need them. Here is a link to race info http://promotionevents.com/ ResoRun/info.htm
and the correct link for volunteering http://runningnw.com/index. php/community/reso-run- volunteers as the race is only a 5 you wouldn't need to work for very long. Let me know if I can count you in. (feeling any guilt?) The deadline I've been given is tomorrow so I need to know ASAP. I still need about 20 people. I hope you can make it. (any guilt yet?)

New Blog, Happy Holidays, Volunteers needed, Nookachamps
Long time no blog. I've finally come upon a way to incorporate my blog into the web site which makes it part of it so you don't have to go two places to read up on what's going on with things (and I don't have to go to two places to write them. I'm just getting use to it so things might be a little rough at first.
I hope all of you have a happy holiday and a great new year. It's been great seeing you all improve over the year and I anticipate that you will improve more next year. Thanks for the cards and gifts that I have received, it's much appreciated, makes the old coach feel warm and fuzzy, I know hard to believe. We won't be meeting for group runs tomorrow the 25th or next Saturday the first. We will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
Ok down to business, Club Northwest has enlisted my help with volunteers for the Resolution Run next Saturday. I told them I would help out as I have in the past. I need about 30 people to help with this, the more the better. I can offer you a race t-shirt and one free entry of several different events next year and if you're game I'll buy you a beer at the beer garden after the race. Your help would be great appreciated. go here http://runningnw.com/index.php/community/reso-run-volunteers ASAP and submit your info and I'll get back to you with your details such as where and when to report, who to report to and what it is you'll be doing. They (CNW) have been a little slack in this in the past but I'm going to be more involve with it. Again your help here would be appreciated.
The next big event coming up for most is the Nookachamps Half Marathon up in skagit on January 15th. Would be a great start of the year event to test your fitness as you go into your training for the spring. There also is a 10K and 5K. If you haven't run there before you should if nothing else because the races start at 10:00, you can sleep in and still get to the race on time. The half course is pretty fast and I ran my fastest half there one winter many moons ago so I recommend it. Nice area, not too big and great organization. I plan to go up after getting the group started as always from SJJ (for those that don't go up) and then get up there for the start and take some pics. I'm going to set up car pooling information since it seems like a lot of you are going to up. I'll send out info on that later.
Ok again have a great holiday and I look forward to seeing and helping with your running as we go through next year.
