Due to the weather conditions I'm canceling the group workouts the next couple of days. I'm not one to shy away from difficult conditions but after pondering it the last few hours I've decided that it would be best for you guys to pass on a hard workout until it cools down in a few days. The bottom line is with this kind of weather you can't run a good work anyway so why beat yourself up and try. I do still think that you can do a light workout. Maybe go for a jog around cowen park, it's probably 10-15 degrees cooler down in there then out side of it. Another good place would be the arboretum. Anywhere out of the sun would be good.
Another thing to consider is the air quality and all I have to do is look out my windows here at the ChuckIt palace where I have a great view of Ranier and well folks today I can barley see it. There is not a cloud in the sky but there is really a nice haze for the viewing.
We will still be meeting on Saturday and by then things should be cooled down some plus you'll have had a few warmer days under your belt. If you have any questions about this let me know. Like I said I hate to cancel our workouts and in 10 years I have maybe 2 or 3 but I think it's best this week.

Mid Week
Had a great turnout on Saturday considering my hemming and hawing about being there with the holiday and all. Was nice to see about 20 smiling faces that am. I even ran a mile and walked a mile and am happy to say my knee wasn't that bad on Sunday morning.
Now that I've shared all of this happiness I'm sicker than a dog today. Must have eaten something bad. So I'm more than likely not going to make it tonight. It's time for the 2 mi TT/pace run so I won't be posting the workouts today. If you're still feeling a little sore from Rn R just cruise it more or less as a tempo run.
Tomorrow night for those on the east side the plan is to meet at Inglemore HS at 7:00 for the workout as the track at Juanita is getting resurfaced. I will be unable to make it then as well. Nice to have Regina around. Maybe we should rename the group RegIt.
Have a good run!!

Showing the love
I'm going to go up to Seattle tomorrow for the run if you're interested. Same bat Channel , same bat time.
Figured I've really got nothing better going on so come on out and get your run over with.
Also remember thanks to The Special Olympics and Colleen and Andy you can get a free entry into the Seafair Torchlight 8K so let me know if you want one.
