Seattle Marathon Water Stop info

Hey Chucksters,

We hope to see lots of people there Sunday, November 29th. If you're running, get your spouse, family & friends to come out & cheer you on at the water stop! There is always room for more water hander outers.

The location for the water stop is at north end of Capital hill on the corner of E.Roanoke & Delmar Dr. E., just east of 10th Ave E. and the fire station on E. Roanoke. Mapquest or Googlemap: 950 E. Roanoke St., Seattle, WA 98102

Be sure to dress warm & be prepared for rain. (sounds fun, huh!). Wear warm waterproof shoes, running shoes are NOT recommended. Also, thin running gloves work well under the nitrile or latex gloves we provide,  bring two pair incase one gets wet. We'll have heat to thaw out cold hands, coffee & doughnuts, hot chocolate, a warm car (if necessary), propane stove to heat stuff up that you might want to bring. We'll have canopies provided by the marathon & the Petermans. I'll bring a couple of folding chairs for people to take a break.

Here are the start times: Half Marathon Run 7:30 am; Half Marathon Walk 7:45 am; Marathon Run 8:15 am. Note: wheelchair events start five minutes before the running events. Some of us will be getting to the station between 5:30 & 6:00. People can start showing up any time after that.  We'll need most people between 8:00 & 11:00. We'll still be busy till about 1:30 or 2:00.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks again for your support,
