Mid Week

Ok so fall/winter are here, to me they are both the same in these here parts and for that matter spring to. Anyway as much as we hate it I think this is a great thing for your training and fitness, it's makes you just a tad tougher which always pays off on race day. It also makes a race with better weather that much easier and if the race has bad weather well hell you've been there done that. You also would agree that after a run in really crappy weather that you appreciate being done more than if it were on a nice 60 degree sunny day.

One thing I always hear is that people are going to wait until the weather clears up before thy go out for their run well around here that could be along time so just get out there get it done and enjoy the added benefits of extra fitness /toughness that you're getting.

Speaking of bad weather I added an order form to the web site for those that want to ordera Brooks jackets/vest. I'm going to place the order in a couple of days so take advantage of  the great savings.

Starting on Saturday we'll be meeting back at Super Jock n Jill for our Saturday long run until next September.  Don't forget!

For you half Marathoner's there is a new Half in Snoqualmie Valley on May first and I'll be adding a training plan for that this week.

Cinco de Mayo 1/2 in Snoqualmie http://www.runsnoqualmie.com/

It is the inaugural Cinco de Mayo Mini Marathon on Saturday, May 1, 2010.

Entry Fees
$40 -- September - December 2009
$50 -- January 2010 - March 2010
$60 -- April 2010
$70 -- Day of Race

Yes. A half marathon is coming to the Snoqualmie Valley on May 1, 2010. If you are tired of paying $75 to run 13 miles straight up a hill you are not alone. Flat and fast (not to mention affordable) half marathons are hard to come by in Western Washington which will make this beautiful course a very popular one indeed.

Here are a few key points about this inaugural half marathon.
*Gorgeous, yet very flat and very fast course
*USATF Certified and Sanctioned
*Chip Timed
*Free Tech Shirt and Finisher’s Medal
*Benefits Histiocytosis Association of America
